Now that we've been here a year, it's finally time to start work on some of those room redecorating projects I've been thinking about.
We were lucky enough to move into a house formerly owned by young cool people. Matt and Kendra took care of a lot of updates, as well as putting in some really awesome light fixtures and appliances (and they picked some amazing paint colors, particularly in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom).
However, Matt and Kendra had one thing that we do not have, nor do I wish to have: a kid. And that kid had a pastel blue and pastel green bedroom with green and white checkered curtains.
This bedroom has since become my office, and quite frankly, I can't stand doing my work and extra-curricular internet usage in a room that looks like Babies R Us exploded in there. The curtains drove me so crazy that I removed those six months ago.
Anyway, now that gross, sticky, hot summer is over, I am finally ready to paint. I am putting my color choices below. Weigh in on your favorite color or offer suggestions. I want to start this in the next couple weeks, so don't hold back the ideas!
Happy New Year!

I say the purple... its my favorite color anyway... but it also depends on which way the window faces so that you get the natural light it would be great for west or south facing exposure. Since I'm going to guess you are in there in the evening or weekends. I also likt the first color grey of some sort. I couldn't see the last swatch it didn't come up for whatever reason.
Hope all is well...
I actually thing it would be neat to use the first color and the purple. while I love the purple, I think your office may be too small for such a bright color. I've seen before where they do one wall in a bright color and the rest of the walls in a coordinating neutral.
Know what would be great? Those three colors together somehow.
Eggplants are delicious.
You should post some pics of the office for context. I think big, bright and airy rooms look good with bright quirky colors (such as the purple), but small, dark rooms are overwhelmed by it.
Do the second color with the purple as an accent wall.
I don't know if that'll look super fabulous, but it's a very HGTV suggestion to make so I went with it. :-)
But, I do like the purple. I shouldn't be making too many suggestions though, my house looks like a box of crayons exploded in it. LOTS of colors.
I like the idea of having an accent wall. I'd go with Eggplant for the accent, and then Texas Leather for the rest...but if you go that route, you might need a color a bit lighter than Texas Leather. Sometimes if you love a color, you actually need 1-2 shades lighter to get the same effect. It depends on the room size/amount of light. If your office is too dark, you'll just fall asleep instead of working:) (Maybe Texas Leather is your accent color with the Nightingale??) However you go, those three colors look good together so you should definitely use furniture/accessories in that third color.
